Opportunities
How customer replies become opportunity signals, how the board groups them, and what the four counters and the list count.
Last updated 2026-10-23
Opportunities collects the customer replies that are worth acting on. Each reply is read once, turned into one signal with a type and a grade, and listed on the board together with the conversation it came from.
This page explains how a reply becomes an opportunity, how the board groups signals, and what the numbers on the page count.
How a reply becomes an opportunity
Every message a customer sends to an inbox is read once. If the wording matches one of these signals, RenewSell records it with a grade:
| Signal | Typical meaning |
|---|---|
| Positive reply | The customer shows interest, agrees or asks to hear more |
| Meeting intent | The customer suggests a call or a meeting |
| Pricing question | The customer asks about price, cost, a quote or a budget |
| Referral | The customer offers to introduce a colleague |
| Objection | The customer is not interested, already has a solution or finds it too expensive |
A message is judged on its own, and at most one signal is recorded per message. A reply without a recognizable signal usually creates no opportunity and shows as No signal. A reception Agent also records an A-grade Positive reply when it has collected every information item you configured.

The status line
The line above the cards shows how prospecting is going:
- Prospected 12 leads today counts the customers contacted or engaged today (UTC).
- Prospecting tasks active or No prospecting tasks today tells you whether anything was prospected today.
- Prospecting plan scheduled or No upcoming prospecting plan tells you whether an outreach plan exists (draft, running or paused).
- All agents limits the whole board to one Agent.
- 7 days, 30 days, 12 months or Custom (with From:, To: and Apply Range) sets the period. A custom period can cover at most 366 days. The 7-day, 30-day and 12-month periods, and the today count, use UTC days.
The four cards
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Engaged | Customers contacted or engaged: distinct customers with a message from you or an outreach step recorded in the period |
| Messages | Messages sent or replied to: every message in the period, in both directions |
| Connections | New LinkedIn connections: LinkedIn outreach steps that went out in the period |
| Opportunities | Leads worth prioritizing: customer signals detected in the period |
Agent progress plots the cumulative number of engaged customers and the number of opportunities per day or month. AI activity lists the latest messages and signals with the contact, the channel and the Agent.
The opportunity list
The table has one row per customer with activity in the period:
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Customer | The contact's name |
| Customer signal | The latest signal of that customer, or No signal |
| AI conclusion | The grade (A, B or C) and the reason recorded with the signal |
| Agent | The Agent that owns the conversation |
| Channel | Email, LinkedIn or WhatsApp |
| Latest interaction | When the last message in the conversation happened |
Above the table, AI opportunity analysis and Analyzed 62% show the share of listed customers that have a signal. The four boxes filter the list and show their counts:
- All: every listed customer.
- Follow up: Meeting intent and Pricing question.
- Initial signal: Positive reply, Referral and Objection.
- No signal: every listed customer without a signal.
The boxes are calculated from the latest signal of each customer, so a customer moves to another box when a newer signal arrives.
What the board does not do
The board is a reading view. It does not change the conversation, and it has no manual status to set. To answer a customer, open the conversation in the inbox; the signal and the conversation update independently.
FAQ
Why does a customer show No signal? No message of that customer matched a signal. This is common for short acknowledgements, and for replies written in a language other than English, because the current expressions are English.
Why is a customer missing from the list? The list only includes customers with a message or an outreach step in the selected period. Widen the period or the Agent filter.
Do the four cards and the list use the same period? Yes. The range and the Agent filter apply to the cards, the chart, the activity stream and the list.
Does the grade mean a probability? No. It is a level: A for Meeting intent, Pricing question and a completed information collection, B for Positive reply, Referral and Objection, and C for low-confidence signals.
